This 968-Square-Foot Seaside Home in Poland Is Full of Colorful Surprises
Agnes Berchem, an art collector, fulfilled her dream of owning a summer home on the Polish coast by purchasing a 968-square-foot property in the northern town of Puck. The interior of the home, originally lackluster, was rejuvenated by interior designer Magdalena Bielicka.
The renovation included eye-catching elements such as blue doors, red ceilings, and vibrant artworks. Magdalena transformed the space into a colorful, eclectic haven with open-plan layouts and bold furnishings. The dining room features an elliptical table with a marble top tailored to the room’s shape, flanked by full-height crimson doors and unique lighting fixtures.
Magdalena’s rule for decor was “the brighter, the better,” resulting in a mix of dark, atmospheric colors in the bedrooms to create a cozy ambiance. The entrance, once dark and long, was brightened by knocking down a wall to reveal a magical view of the seaside. The bathroom was also revamped with a glass partition and colorful marble patterns.
The home, now a vibrant and eclectic retreat, showcases Agnes and Remy’s unique style and love for art. With cozy seating areas and stunning views, the couple has no plans of parting with their dream seaside home anytime soon.
