The 2024 NYCxDESIGN Awards celebrated the creativity of New York City by hosting a premiere event on May 20. Over 400 architects and designers gathered in Manhattan for the ceremony, where editor-in-chief Cindy Allen led the festivities. The awards program expanded its borders this year to include the entirety of New York state, New Jersey, and Connecticut, showcasing the wealth of talent beyond the five boroughs.
Many talented winners were recognized at the event, including Concrete and HLW International’s SciTech Scity Edge Works in Jersey City, New Jersey, and a home in the Hudson Valley by Lang Architecture. Lladró, the creator of the awards trophy, provided stunning statues for each winner. A special surprise was also announced, with Timothy Godbold winning an all-expenses paid trip to Paris courtesy of Maison&Objet.
