New England Auctions held two successful auctions on May 9-10, featuring 440 lots from an Interior & International Design Collection sale and an additional 324 lots from The Elemental Garden Collection. Of the 764 lots that were auctioned off, more than 95 percent found new homes, totaling $530,000 in sales. The highlight of the auctions was a pair of melon-form gadrooned cast iron urns, signed by Fonderies du Val d’Osne, which sold for $7,500 including buyer’s premium. Dated circa 1870, the pair stood approximately 60 inches tall and were described as being in excellent antique condition. Both sales were successful, and more highlights will be featured in an upcoming issue.
